Black and herding

Black has begonnen with herding at JJ Ranch in The Nederlands in 2009. He has strong herding insitnct and he really likes this work. He can good read the sheep and keep the flock together. He is sometimes too eager, but that improves with his experience.

 I´m now mostly active in FCI herding classes in traditional style (other breeds than border collies). In 2010 was Black the first aussie in the Czech Republic who passed Herding working test (HWT) and he is now advanced for the trials. In 2013 he succeeded in IHT1 trial and now we start in IHT2.

In 2013 we competed for the first time on ASCA trial at JJ Ranch. Black passed STDs and had some nice placements, for example 1.place on sheep under Bjintze as judge.

Cikorka and herding

Cikorka has started in 2012. We attended the clinics in the Czech Republic, Nederlands, Austria and Germany to gain more experience, meet new people and aussie trainers. With every lesson, Cikorka learns more and more.

It´s 2014 now and we are through our first trials and also clinic on catlle. Cikorka started on ASCA trial during MVA event, where we achieved two Q on STDs from Maarten Walter. In the summer we started on FCI trial and Cikorka passed HWT ( highest score this day and nice words from the judge). In september we were for the first time on cattle at Sandra Zilch. Cikorka did nice work. After the beginner´s experience she was well concentrated, watching the stock with tail down and  learning how to move cattle.

Cikorka earned STDsd on fall trials at JJ ranch 2015. She won both ducks runs:-)

Generally she needed more time to mature but I think that was also caused by our limited possibility to train with stock and on the other side by traning of obedience, because Cikorka was at the beginning very focused on me. In this time this matter seems to be solved because she has already found her herding ability :-)
